Attack on Titan Episode 16 “Now, What Should We Do (Night Time Counter Attack Number 3)” Preview Images and Synopsis

The two titans captures by the Scouting Legion were killed. The eye of scrutiny is turned on the 104th, and the soldiers are investigated one by one. After all, no one knows who it is, but we have to detemine the loyalty of the soldiers in this brigade. Everyone must confess in front of Irwin to determine the culprit.

Of all the episodes to put this cast on, this is a weird pick. Screenplay is Yasuko Kobayashi, storyboard is Sakomi Yajima, and director is someone new, Yasushi Muroya. He’s been director before, having a few episodes from Bodacious Space Pirates and Space Battleship Yamato 2199. What surprises me is the ass load of animation directors for what I imagine will be a pretty exposition based episode. Six in total: Satomi Miyazaki, Toshiyuki Sato, Shunryo Yamamura, Satoshi Kikuchi, Satoshi Sakai, and Shinichi Nozaki. Nozaki is the only somewhat new kid. Everyone else has done AD before, but Nozaki is only just now stepping up from Key Animation. I don’t know what all this manpower is for, but it should be interesting.

And there is a new “Training Corps” right on time.
