Kill la Kill OST 1 Official Album Art, Launch Date, and Vendor Bonuses

I’ve been waiting on the album art before talking about this. It’s worth the wait because I really like the imposing effect Hounouji has. The Kill la Kill soundtrack is being done by Hiroyuki Sawano. You may recognize his work from things like this:

So, yeah, he’s pretty good. I’ve been seeing people clamoring for the KlK OST for a bit now, and we’re getting there. This art also comes with a list of the bonuses. The first general bonus is a case drawn by Yoh Yoshinari. He’s the one in charge of storyboarding the OP and also set design, so all those things with spikes on them because fuck you why not? That was him. The second is a scorebook and interview book. I’m not sure who the interviews will be with or what’s being scored. Maybe hotness? If so, the list is just going to be a page with Aikurou’s name scrawled insanely all over it.

Then there are the vendor bonuses. Animate’s bonus is a “mini clear file,” which I don’t know what is. HMV’s is a “jacket sized sticker,” which I assume refers to something like a dust jacket and not a person jacket. Gamers and a place called Toranoana will include a special publicity photo. I wonder if the character included is random and we’ll see people buying tons of them to get all the good ones. Can you find the rare, golden Mako? They only printed 7.

Kill la Kill OST 1 will launch for ¥3,150 on December 25th, Christmas Day.
