Kill la Kill Episode 12 “Spit Away Your Sorrow” 30 Second PV

 

We get to see Ryuko’s dad fight in a flashback in this episode.  Like a lot of people, I’ve been speculating on this and that about the show, and I’ve been nursing a theory that the killer intentionally left behind one half of the scissors so that Ryuko, or whoever happened to come by, would pick it up and have a weapon that would spur them into action. It would explain why they wouldn’t just take it with them like the other half. However, looking at this and his self repairing lab coat, I’m also ok with the idea that Isshin is just so tough that you cannot take a sword away from him even after he’s dying from the sword in question being stabbed through his chest. Maybe if he’d been a little younger, we’ve have gotten something like this:
