I told you there’d probably be more MTAC material. It’s just lucky that someone out there is better at this than us and made a whole lot more. The crew of Heavy Metal Hobbit was nice enough to share all the interviews they did with 7 of the special guests for this years convention, and they are comprehensive. The shortest one is Chii Sakurabi’s at 15 minutes with others reaching close to 40 minutes. Give them an audience. They did a lot of hard work.

Cosplay 2

General 2

Every single time I saw that Mondo throughout the convention, I immediately went, “Oh my God, Josuke! … Ah, crap.” That happened maybe 5 to 7 times over the course of 3 days.

If you see any you want, you can get the images here. I know I promised you Dandy for next time, so just extend that to what would now be the next time.

Cosplay Pictures 1

General Goings On 1

Time to start the coverage. In that it’s time to show you all of it. We’ve already done it except for the Photoshop touching up. These two are the first set of our MTAC 2014 pictures. The next set will come tomorrow. You’ve got a cosplay set, which has some very impressive cosplayers, and a general set, which has some very impressive patience for long lines.

These two links go to the Shutterfly galleries. If you see pictures you’d like, especially if they’re of you, you can download the albums here.

When the next set is ready, you’ll have some Dandy things coming your way.

MTAC 2013 Devil’s Dozen Panels – English Dub Power “Mr. Cookie Shall Be Known as Bat”

Here they are. All the videos compiled together for our panel “English Dub Power.”

I placed them in the same order we showed them in at the panel, mostly. I only really bring it up because, at time of writing, the Tekken video is acting up with processing on YouTube, and I don’t know when it’ll be working. I didn’t do a narration this time because that was honestly a silly idea last time. Just sit back, relax, and revel in the glory that is the dubs of old.

MTAC 2013 Devil’s Dozen – Karaoke Night Video

Posted in Conventions, Cosplay, MTAC, MTAC 2013, MTAC Devil's Dozen, Press Coverage, Videos with tags , , , , , , , , , on 2013/04/06 by OnePixelJumpMan

Whew. That took a lot more time to make than I originally figured. So yes, DG was able to get a little video of the karaoke event in the off-main stage on Saturday. It’s a little shaky because it was filmed on the fly, and the crowd noise and music for the karaoke is a little unbalanced, but the impromptu para-para by Ms. Sailor Saturn was pretty cool and what that one guy lacked in knowing the second verse of the Pokemon theme he made up for in spirit.

Also, I’ve added a few more pictures to Cosplay Album 2 and General Goings On. We haven’t decided whether or not to do a cosplay riff. There’s not a lot of humor in infinite Homestuck cosplay jokes, but there was Foamccilo and Foamhan. We’ll get back to you on that.

This is the album for just any pictures that don’t necessarily fit with the cosplay. Things going on in the hallway, panelists and their audiences, things like that. I would have gotten a picture of those weirdos playing with a balloon in the hall, but I was one of them.

Unfortunately, I didn’t come in until the very end of the geisha panel

I think the only reason DG stopped bugging me about going to this panel is because he’s blocked out that I went

This is Symphonic Anime Orchestra’s rehearsal set. Unfortunately, we had to miss their main performance

There are people on both sides of the window. It’s still only one line

This is Chris Cason from this “5 Best Dubs You’ve Never Heard of Panel”

Game room was busy as usual

I imagine someone way down at the bottom floor getting hit with those bubbles and not knowing what the fuck

Make sure and check out the whole album for even more. Tomorrow, there should be a few videos popping in.

The second cosplay album is up! Go and give it a look. As before, they’re all doing good, but here’s a few standouts to me.

Asking her to take off her shoes to see if she had feet seemed rude

This may be what I consider the most impressive cosplay of the convention

AHH! IT’S SPREADING

Homestuck Cosplayer #4,700

I had to pay 50 steaks to get this picture

Make sure to check out the whole album for even more pictures, and thanks to everyone who cosplayed this year for some really good costumes. Tomorrow comes the general event photos. We spent a lot of time in panels.

Oh, by the way, because I used Shutterfly, you won’t be able to just grab the pictures from the albums without doing a screen capture. If you see your picture and want it, let me know here or in an email and I’ll either send the original or put it on Photobucket and send you the URL. Just let me know what you want.

This link will take you to the first set of cosplay images for this year’s MTAC. They’re all good, but here’s a few standout ones.

Ok, this isn’t really a cosplay per-se, but I love props

There is no subject you cannot cosplay

That is that guy’s real beard

These were the only two JoJo’s cosplayers at the convention

Apparently, I was one of less than ten people who knew what this was

He heard we made fun of Fist of the North Star during a panel

This is only the first set. There are plenty more to come for both cosplay and panels.

So, as I mentioned, we’re MTAC press once again. We’ll be bringing you all cosplay pictures, videos of goings on, panels including English Dub Power, and other this’s and thats as they occur while we’re there. I’ll make posts about any really big stuff as it comes out, but there will still be the Week of Con once the convention is over. As it stands, there probably won’t be any interviews. The offer of sending me questions you’d like to ask the guest so I can ask them on your behalf are still open, so check the guest list and think hard about if you want to know how Todd Haberkorn felt about that weird melon bread boob scene in Aquarion. I’m not sure I am, but you might, so let me know in comments or an email.

I’ll still be keeping up with the normal stuff like the JoJo preview images coming out tomorrow, so don’t worry. I’m just as excited about that “special announcement” as you all are.

It’s getting to be that time of year again. MTAC 2013 is at the end of March and we are once again press. We’ll be covering various panels, taking pictures of all the cosplay we can, which may include us this year, and we have the opportunity to interview the special guests. As I do, I’m coming to you, Intertron, to see if there are any questions you’d like me to ask on your behalf. JENNIFER CIHI

Jennifer Cihi is no stranger to the stage, starting with a national tour of “Annie” at age 10. Even then, Jennifer knew that a career as a singer was her destiny. Apparently, so was fighting evil by moonlight. Jennifer provided the singing voice of Serena, Sailor Moon herself in the popular ’90s anime series. Jennifer has also lent her singing voice to other anime titles, including theme songs for City Hunter and Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke (the English version of “The Tatara Women Song”).

In live action, Jennifer was an actor and singer on the Nickelodeon series “Roundhouse”. The success of the show led to a nomination for an Ace Award in the female artist category. Her success there led her to sing the national jingle for the first “Hot Pockets” commercial. For 15 years, you can hear her voice in that unforgettable theme, as well as other promos and theme songs across television.

This also led to a stint as a director and writer for animated properties as well.

Todd received his BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University and continues to work primarily in Los Angeles, but he has also recorded overseas in Asia too. As far as on-camera is concerned, when he isn’t working on films, industrials, and television projects for other companies, Todd works with his company Out of the Office Productions.
