PVPVPVPVPVPVPVPVPV. Stardust Crusaders Noriaki Kakyoin Official PV!

Now this PV is interesting. Joseph and Abdul’s new voices were different but still relatively close to the same style as ASB. Kakyoin is the first to have a distinctly new voice style with it being much deeper. There’s also a lot more weight put into “Emerald Splash!” It’s an interesting change.

And it still looks good. Man, is the bud flesh much more gross looking than I remember, and Tower of Gray. It’s an interesting fight to pick to show off, but something like Death 13 might not give such a clear Emerald Splash to pretty up.

Almost there. We have one left to meet.

A Special Presentation by the Stardust Crusader Cast at Anime Japan 2014

The first Stardust Crusaders adaptation in years I think is something we can all agree is a big deal, and I know a lot of people consider the changing in cast from ASB to be a big deal too. Seems the producers agree because they’re sending out the new cast to greet us an answer our questions about the show to come. This year’s Anime Japan, a yearly convention that “combines the elements of the business market and the traditional festival such as vendor booths and stage events for fans to enjoy over a period of 2 days,” that’s being held at the Tokyo Big Sight this year will have a special stage presentation lead up to the new anime’s premiere.

It will be attended by Daisuke Ono (Jotaro,) Daisuke Hirakawa (Kakyoin,) Komatsu Fuminori (Polnareff,) and Kenta Miyake (Abdul.) They’ll be there to talk about what the new anime will do, how they’re taking to their roles, and presumably take questions. It’s an insider’s scoop on what the anime will do.

This special stage production will be happening on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:22.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders The Animation Official PV 1 and Core Cast Voices!

Posted in Anime Seasons, JoJo's Year, Spring 2014, Videos with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on 2013/12/22 by OnePixelJumpMan

Ok, PV might be a little generous, but what do you want? There’s Dio, sound effects floating around, and Star Platinum ORAORAORA all over the place. Along with that we get a confirmed air date and time. Stardust Crusaders The Animation will air on April 4th on Tokyo MX.

But let’s get to the meat of the matter. Voice actors are changing, and I can hear the collective teeth grind from here. First things first, here’s the list for the core cast at the end and also from Araki-JoJo:

Jotaro – Daisuke Ono
Joseph – Unshou Ishizuka (Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop, official dub voice of Lawrence Fishburn and Liam Neeson)
Abdul – Kenta Miyake (Scar in FMA: Brotherhood, Zangief post Street Fighter IV)
Kakyoin – Daisuke Hirakawa
Polnareff – Fuminori Komatsu
DIO – Takehito Koyasu

Daisuke Ono and Takehito Koyasu are the only confirmed returning cast members from ASB. Koyasu makes sense. Koyasu was already Dio in Parts 1 and 2, so ASB wouldn’t matter here. The rumors I’ve heard are that most people are upset over losing Sugita as Old Joseph. I’m only really somewhat bothered by losing Masashi Ebara as Abdul, but I just really liked the way he did “HELL 2 U,” so if Miyake can do it, then that’s fine.

Other than that, I guess we’ll just have to wait.

Free! Episode 5 “Trial in Open Water” Teaser Images

It’s time for some island training.

Kou’s so happy to see Rei and Makoto this close up without them wearing shirts.

This is the closest we will ever get to sexy lady time.

Because sexy man time is way more important.

“Is it time for me to show up yet?”

More sexy man time can be found over at Yaraon.

Two quick side notes. First of all, Free! is beginning to recieve some international attention. I’m not quite sure where this came from, but some English speaking country has some newspaper that wrote an article about it.

Most appropriate title for an article about Free! ever.

Second of all, the voice actors are being held in such high regard that they made the cover of a magazine I believe is called Voice Actor Grand Prix.

Here’s hoping that we will one day see more material like Free! after this show has run its course.
