Soft to the Touch. Exactly How I Imagine Joseph. JoJo Ties Fan Product Review!

Posted in JoJo's Year, Text Articles with tags , , , , , , on 2014/05/10 by OnePixelJumpMan

Once again, you remember the JoJo suits by Haruyama, right? Pure fandom and pure style as you would expect from a product based on the most stylish beatdown manga. If you happen to be on the fence, I have some news that could tip them in your favor. First off, someone was nice enough to send me not only their product review of the Joseph ties:

They are very soft to the touch and easy to wear. Adjusting your Jojo to your preferred height can be a little fiddly, but no more than any other printed design. Of the two, the Joseph Ending Design (on the left and on me) has the more visible texture lines in the print while the Joseph Key Visual Design has significantly fewer artifacts. Looking closely, it appears to be due to the scale of Joseph’s face as the rest of the tie design isn’t showing the fabric texture. They both are lovely ties and I’m looking forward to bringing Joseph to fancy events & business throw downs.

but second off, where they got them from. Reckless!Excessive!!Japan!!! or Re!Ex!!Japan!!! has a whole host of JoJo based goods and other shows as well. That includes all the suit pieces, which are currently in stock from what I just saw, except for the suit jacket. If that’s a deal breaker for you, though, it does have one of the best JoJo products I’ve ever seen. Give them a look, though it does occasionally give me spam redirects. It’s probably an ad problem because it’s inconsistent, but be cautious.

We Have to Open the Casket! Imagine What Sweet Cuffs Could Be in There!

Have you ever wanted to know what it was like for Dio at the bottom of the ocean? Who wouldn’t? Sentinel Co. has your back with their new DIO casket. It’s a small figure piece at 190mm done with the excellent detail you’d expect from a Sentinel product all the way down to a very nice “DIO” plaque latch. But is it only a solid box?

No, you can open it and put in your very nice jewelry. It is an accessory box. The display makes it look like a ring box, but you can put cuffs and all other sorts in there.

On top of that, there are two color versions. This is the standard version, but there is also the Undersea version that’s colored to match a more deep ocean tone.

Both versions are ¥4,104, and you can get them both from Union-Creative (Standard Version / Undersea Version).

“Ok, I’ll think of my one true love when I send texts, and Friend Frog when I go in the kitchen…”

Carving names into a tree is tride and true method of expressing romance. Expressing your need to put together fictional character romances is a comparatively new practice, so what would be the best way to marry the two concepts? Or at least be able to sort of camouflage your phone with a wood texture that happens to spit out Valentines hearts? Dimolto has got you covered with their new JoJo phone covers. Now you can tell people all about one of your favorite fictional couples the way they would have wanted to tell everyone who would have walked by that tree.

The cases are meant for the iPhone 5, and the wood texture does look nice on all four types. There’s also a JoJo/Star/Stone Mask patterned one, a Dio one, and a Joseph one. They’ll run for ¥3,980 starting sometime this month. You can keep track of that here.

But what about people that come over to your house and don’t even have to look at your phone? What about the people who want to express their desire to punch frogs on a greater level than a talking frog doll? Dimolto also has you covered on that front with a new series of wall stickers. Now you can let people know what you think of their amphibian pet’s place in the world with the push of a button assuming you put it near a light switch. It seems to intend you to because some of the different variants, Joseph, Cars and Will, all have cutoff points where they’re supposed to go behind something like a light switch plate, and the frog one looks like it’s meant for it to be being punched into the surface of it.

There are two others, a Stone Mask and the “JoJo x Erina” heart carving. They’ll run for ¥700 sometime this month. You can keep track of them here.

SILE- LE- LE- LE- LENCE! Stardust Crusaders Themed Headphone Jack Covers

Merchandising is at its best when it makes as little sense as possible. When thinking of a product of yours to make, consider the functions it could have. You could have a figurine, but what happens when your primary market needs to make sure that dust doesn’t get in the jack for their headphones? What if they want to go around pretending their phone has the ability to summon ghost muscle man that can stop time or pull others into a void of nothingness?

Some people do manage to think of those possibilities, though, and thus we now have Stardust Crusaders themed headphone jack covers. They come in packs of 12 with a gold and silver version each of Star Platinum, The World, Silver Chariot, Iggy, and Cream with two hidden types. It’s likely that the hidden types will be consistent and they just want to leave it as an added bonus, but it may also be possible for them to be different per package. Maybe want to keep those trading lines open.

The package deal is currently available for preorder from AmiAmi for ¥6,830 intending to launch in late March.

A Friendly Drink at Jujo on my New Jotaro Feet

Posted in JoJo's Year, Text Articles with tags , , , , , , , on 2013/12/27 by OnePixelJumpMan

There are a lot of JoJo themed things out there. I usually like to talk about toys, but let’s get away from the kids and have a night on the town with good food, good drink, and Polnareff all over the walls. There are plenty of JoJo themed bars, and getting to go to one is rare treat for those of us outside Japan or Korea. It does happen, though, and you can now get an inside peek at a one called Jujo courtesy of Dio Motherfucking Brando Tumblr. Each picture up there, in order of decoration, bathroom, and food links to the album it came from.

And while we’re on the subject of JoJo themed things, a new entry has been made in the JoJo Converse series. In conjunction with the new anime, it’s time for Jotaro to adorn your feet. It’s got the rich blue color from Jotaro’s traditional coat, a nice sound effect pattern, and Jotaro’s hand symbol on the heel. JoJo’s aside, it’s a very nice and stylish shoe. I particularly like dark blue colors, so these are particularly good looking. You can see more pictures of them over on animedads.
