So, JoJoveller shipped a few days ago. Big time super artbook with new information on stands including names for some previously unnamed ones. An enterprising fan posted some pictures from the book on the new stands. Also, there’s a little blurb by Araki about the stand with a little self portrait, and I like the idea of Araki drawing himself.
We now have a name for:
The Green Baby’s Stand. “Green, Green Grass of Home” is a country song written by Claude Putman Jr. that’s been sung by a number of performers over the years. That link leads to the Tom Jones version.
Pocoloco’s Stand, originally given the fan-name “Buckethead” now has the official name “Hey Ya!” by Outkast, particularly André 3000 from the The Love Below half of their 2003 double album. Man, it’s been beyond long since I’ve heard this song.
Finally, for now at least, The Boom Boom Family’s Stand, “Tomb of the Boom” named after a track by Outkast, specifically Big Boi, off the Speakerboxxx half of the same double album.
So never let it be said that Araki’s stagnate in his music fandom. These were posted by someone anonymous, but more will probably end up being posted in the future, so keep an eye out unless you’re waiting for the book yourself.
